2026 World Sailing Development Coach Scholarship

The Oceania Sailing Federation (OSAF) is pleased to share an exciting opportunity from World Sailing for coaches and instructors across our region. Applications are now open for the 2026 Development Coach Scholarship.
This programme is specifically designed for coaches with a passion for developing grassroots sailing. The curriculum focuses on the skills required to teach sailing, establishing Learn to Sail programmes, managing sailing schools, and progressing athletes into Learn to Race coaching.
Programme Structure
Successful applicants must be available for all components of the course:
- In-Person Residential: Weymouth, UK (20 April – 15 May 2026)
- Remote Module 1: June–July 2026 (2 online sessions)
- Remote Module 2: August–September 2026 (2 online sessions)
- Remote Module 3: October–December 2026 (2 online sessions)
Funding and Support Candidates may fund the programme privately or apply through Olympic Solidarity. Due to the tight application timeline, we strongly encourage Member National Authorities (MNAs) to contact their National Olympic Committees (NOC) immediately if they wish to seek funding.
